This is very much a sample size of 1 finding, but for me the biggest intervention was being put on broad-spectrum antibiotics to deal with an infection after some unrelated surgery. I was fully expecting the antibiotics to make things worse, but it did the opposite. It turns out there is a thing called SIBO (small intestine bacterial overgrowth) and it’s likely I had that.
Over six years later and I’ve only had the rare IBS flare-up once or twice, and they don’t last as long as they used to. It’s been a huge improvement to my pain levels and quality of life.
Ask your doctor about SIBO.
It’s okay, no people had aspersions cast against them in this post.
I’m pretty used to hjkl navigation from using vim. When I first started learning vim it felt weird but it’s natural now.
Tell me, what kind of racism do white male board members experience?

I don’t think there was a Kid Rock/Pamela Anderson sex tape.
And the Tommy Lee sex tape was stolen and leaked without either Pamela or Tommy’s permission. When Pamela tried to sue the distributor the judge basically said “Well you posed topless for Playboy before, so this sex tape is hardly going to further damage your career”. Massively misogynistic and it really messed her life up.

There are actually churches who think Jesus was too “woke”.
It’s a truism but there’s no hate like Christian love.
No, they have not.
From an article on a recent boycott of the group at an Australian music festival:
Organisers of protests across the country have called for a boycott of the duo, with activist group Stop War On Palestine in particular alleging:
1. That they have publicly supported “every major assault on Gaza in recent years - including Israel’s current genocidal war.”
2. The cover of their 2023 single, ‘Dance Forever’, "featured an Israeli flag blanketing all of historic Palestine.”
3. One half of the duo, Amit Duvdevani’s claims that supporters of Palestine are “brainwashed”.
4. A regular collaborator Skazi’s comments that his fans should “dance on the ruins of Gaza”.
5. Continued donations by the duo to the Tel Aviv Foundation, which has ties to the IDF, along with Tribe of Nova, whose co-founder launched an intelligence platform that supplies intelligence to the Israeli military.
Links to sources for those points are in the article.

Anyone else read the title and think “how did he become a climate change expert after he died?”

Hawxx are fucking excellent. I fully recommend catching them live if you can.

This is a sentence I never imagined I’d read.

Just following up on this: I haven’t unsubscribed but when I visit the community from my account I’m not longer showing as subscribed anymore. I was definitely subscribed last week.

Me neither, that’s why I was very willing to believe it was actually Tuesday 😂

Wait it’s Tuesday?!

Thank you for looking into it! I retried a few hours ago and am successfully subscribed, but I’ve done this before and after a few days it went back to “pending” and my moderator status disappeared. I’m the only active mod on that community so I don’t think I was removed by someone else.

Update: I’ve managed to resubscribe and set myself as a mod, but I’ve done these steps before and eventually the subscription and mod status reverted.

Linehan is difficult to gauge, because he’s always worked with other people. I have the sense though that he’s always been like this.
Yep, one of my fixations is tweaking anything to be marginally more efficient (for a very narrow, personal definition of “efficient” 😉).
