In KDE Plasma 6.6 Spectacle can read texts from screenshots, a new on-screen keybord is available for testing, a first-time wizard was added, current theme can be saved as a new global theme, emoji selector got a new easier skin tone selection, you can now connect to a Wi-Fi network via a QR code, application sound volume can be changed by scrolling over a taskbar button via mouse, and there is much more.
been waiting on the global theme thing so I can save my weird setup and not have to rebuild it every time I switch distros (and I need a reinstall because I did something the computer said not to and have weird issues now)

OCR in Spectacle is amazing. Need to test it out.
(To me its amazing enough that i infodumped a fellow employee)
For some reason it says that I don’t have necessary tesseract dependencies on Fedora, even though I do 😩
I have the same problem. The package manager says they are installed, but spectacle can’t see them.
I needed to install them (after wondering too long why it didnt work)
But i hope one of the next updates will fix it for you when you already have it
What exactly did you need to install? My system says I have tesseract and the language pack installed, but spectacle doesn’t seem to see it. I’m thinking it isn’t the right package.
Turns out it needs
tesseract-develfor some reasonThat was it! Thanks for the help!
After the latest update to Spectacle
tesseract-develis no longer needed
Scrolling while hovering over taskbar icons to control that app’s volume? The future is now!
Spectacle can read texts from screenshots
I use Spectacle to take screen shots. I wish it wasn’t so incredibly slow.
