I looked at a few. So far fluxer actually looks like the best choice for me. It’s basically discord in form and Funktion just without corporate trying to eff you over.
And https://movim.eu/ is a federated choice, allowing you to choose your provider, just like you do for your phone or emails.
Matrix is also a way to go, granted their VoIP leaves a little to be desired at present. https://matrix.org/
I’ve used it a lot and even heavily promoted it for a while, but no longer do, as it still does not work well enough for my liking. It all seems buggy in general.
