If you are in a position to see a neurologist, that could be a great way to get a better answer. I have seen a neurologist regularly for almost 30 years for something else, but also have minor tremors/twitches that predated why I see the neurologist. My twitches are like an eyebrow vibing, or a small portion of thigh muscle, etc. Anyway, neither of the neurologists I saw for over ten years felt I should be concerned, but I also didn’t pursue it. I had other concerns. A main/family doctor may be able to help, also. Not sure.
Anyway, doctors should listen, and then they may have questions about things like family history. That is really where the quality of life can matter. It isn’t about now, but later. If you can afford the doctor visit.
I did not know that Mull was dead. Thank you for sharing! I will have to make a change.
When I first got involved in this, I had a kbin and a lemmy account. I ended up focusing on the kbin, but it was useful to have the lemmy to see how things moderated. Kbin is dead now, but I still will occasionally use the lemmy to see how things look. I find it valuable. As an mbin person now, I think I should have some other instances in the mix as well. It’s a federation, and for me, I would like things to be appropriate for all of us. It’s kind of fun! Even if I am not a big user of other instances/federations?
They are cancelling, effectively, many other things, too. Many of us have required ongoing training to do our jobs. We cannot travel for anything. So many levels of safety are at risk.
A great example of how these folks do not care about things unless it happens to them. I am glad they are getting the vaccine, but I hope they push their “network” to do the same.
The important thing is tension, for the thread to be tight. If you can do this, happy engineering! My similar machine, tension on the string is hard, more with a longer length/step.
I don’t remember having an issue with this when I pushed carts, but it was a long time ago and I suspect if I saw someone do this I would have pouted about it.
I am not an engineer, either 🤔 I see your front picture, my machine is similar. I would not be able to change anything myself. As @gadfly1999@lemm.ee mentioned, these really are highly engineered. If you change one thing, you must change everything.
I understand you know how to change the step length that can be changed now, yes? You say <2mm to 5mm. My very similar machine can go to almost 10mm but it cannot keep the thread very tight. This is the limiting thing, the machine, every part, is designed for sewing a length of 2-8mm or whatever. A longer stitch step would need a complete change and probably a stronger motor.
By moving the knob or lever that changes the stitch step length, you will see what is going on.
If you want to have a longer “step,” you will probably need a larger machine. The limit of that length factors in things like the max thread size and how much tension the machine can maintain. Your machine is for sewing clothes, the longer stitch lengths will be for a more decorative use and would not be durable as a main support stitch.
What communities/instances are these from?
Unfortunately there is a long history in the US of fudging unemployment numbers. Maybe not common, but it happens. This seems more like the Nixon deal (shocker).
This makes it much clearer and ties some separate events together that I hadn’t thought about, thanks! I really hope this provides the Kurds with peace, stability, and growth as well.
Wow, this seems pretty unexpected. I wonder what prompted this beyond that October call?
Haha another “great” memory wrapped up in that video.
I see. I bought my first laptop in 2013 (used), and by then I was pretty ensconced in Linux. That machine didn’t have those ports.
It’s always off unless I turn it on. Interesting that this could be a problem!
Some of what you said about appearances of women vs men have to do with toxic culture. 50 yo man with gray? Hot dad bod. 50 yo woman with gray? Past her prime. It’s complete crap and enforces unhealthy habits. Not that you believe these things, but “society” does.
Colkegan from Santa Fe Spirits in pretty interesting. NM is blue for now.
