I don’t think that Reddit is so much better. The interface at the moment is full of ads that make i confusing. The only thing is the community search that is a bit cumbersome, but this is due to federation, and understood. On the other hand the federation with Mastodon/Friendica/whatever is super-powerful, hand honestly enjoyable

I don’t think you should expect any issue. You are allowing unkown apps to show something only in andoird android auto, with this setting, and you can always turn it back off

If you installed from fdroid you have to ensble unknown sources in androud auto settings. These are the instructions from another app, but the procedure is the same

It is possible to use URL Radio on Android Auto if you have enabled unknown sources in Android Auto developer settings.

To enable:

Go to Android Auto settings and tap Version about 10 times to enable developer settings.

Tap on the hamburger menu on the top right and tap on Developer Settings.

Enable unknown sources.

You are absolutelt right. There is at least a study that proved that drivers who also use bicycles are better at noticing stuff. The rationale would be that if you are also a cyclist you know thst the road is not only used by cars.

If you are interested I can problably find that study.

You are not wrong, but there are a lot of interesting things for a self-gift too!

It’s victim blaming because you are acting on the wrong side of the problem: in every field where you need to mitigate some danger, self protection is the last thing to do, not the first. The first thing to do is to act on the source of danger: avoid (es. bike infrastructure) and mitigate (es: redice speed, less cars, less dangerous cars…)

But their destination would have been covered in asphalt too, so it wouldn’t exist anymore…
