It’s always the people you suspect the most.
Each summer evening, from dusk till about an hour after sunset, my yard is full of them. By late afternoon, if you look along and underside of folliage adjacent to open areas you can find them ready for the evening. They have a little dance, the steps of which aren’t followed too closely. Let’s see if I can remember it. They stay about 40 cm of the ground and fly up to about 2 meters up. After reaching the apex of their flight they flash their butts, and then proceed downward and slightly forward in a jerking stair-step pattern. The entire time flashing a repeated sequence of flashes the same color as a yellow glow stick. They so this from late spring through summer.
I have, I received texts from friends and family about this protest that don’t even know what the fediverse is.
Doing boycotts like this one is putting in time and having targets. No one thinks a single day of boycotting will change the world, it’s part of the process.
One thing that definitely won’t get results is listening to people like you who shit on every effort to get a movement going, which is happening. There will be a next step, and another, and maybe one of those steps could be boycotting a single company or product like the Montgomery bus boycott or Pepsi during apartheid.
Be constructive and not negative.

There are several accounts pushing these strange lies about WW2. They don’t seem to be bots or Russian accounts but this bullshit has to be coming from people intentionally spreading propaganda and disinformation.

On another topic, while trying to get the game to launch I went to the Steam community page for Avowed and it was full of incel like posts claiming the game is woke and shit, or that even queer people weren’t supporting a woke game. I don’t look at community posts very often and was shocked that these kind of people are still around and can be so vocal without pushback.
