Mmm, nah. I’m not giving money to EA for the sims. I will continue to get every new install of sims and sims 2 from the open seas and play them with WINE without issue like I have been.
I see you EA, trying to get an emergency cash injection via nostalgia after flopping with the veilguard. This won’t keep you off the chopping block forever.
I will continue to not play any of my Sony games on PC until after I see this implemented. I didn’t wait out origin on steam to be bamboozled into PSN on steam. They should’ve seen this coming and never tried it, the stupid assholes.
Good.
I am personally very disinterested in using bikes to collect data. That’s one of the benefits of traveling via bike - that the manufacturer can’t just track you and everyone around you!
If the problem is that cars aren’t safe around bicycles, then the solution should be to not allow cars near bicycles.
Don’t tempt me with a good time.
Currently cows are the main carrier of interest for one of the two strains of bird flu that are a concern in the US. The viral particles are being detected in their milk. Hence bird flu milk.
Perhaps, but that is what I was told by my doctor for my area. Seems like she would know.
That is really helpful to know. I don’t recall there being any MinuteClinics around here, but I’ll take a look for next time, thank you :)
I live in NYS. I had to pay $200+ out of pocket for the booster because my medical insurance would only cover vaccines administered by a doctor’s office, and the booster was only distributed to pharmacies. My medical insurance does not cover ANY prescriptions because apparently it’s an optional DLC now.
Only CVS and Walgreens were given the boosters too so they could set whatever price they wanted.
I don’t know a single other adult other than my partner that paid out for the booster because it was so expensive. If my immune system worked I could play roulette with vaccines too, but it doesn’t so I just continue to get my physical safety held hostage for more money.
Being allosexual sounds exhausting. You get some kind of feels for a person just by looking at them? I can’t wrap my head around that. Or sex drives. I don’t mind participating, but I could live the rest of my life not having sex just like I could live the rest of my life not eating a specific kind of cereal.
To me sex is optional. I don’t usually even think about it unless our allo centered world forces me to.
Today someone threatened to murder me.
Our car battery died during a snow storm. We only have one car, but I have an e bike and the auto parts store is less than 10 minutes from me. The roads were shit, visibility was shit, but 80% of my ride was on a state designated bike path so I figured I’d be fine for a quick trip.
I came up to the intersection in question and there was so much snow piled up between the bike path and the street I had to hop off the bike to get through it. The light was red in my favor, all traffic was stopped with no traffic coming from where the light was green. I started to cross the street and a HUGE truck waited until I was directly in front of him to slam on the gas, travel several feet at me, and then slam on the brakes just to intimidate me.
I doubt I would have survived if he had decided to just keep driving. Even if the light had changed by the time I managed to get off the road, is one life really worth less than the 20 seconds it takes to wait for someone to cross??
Okay, sure. Maybe it’s not from driving specifically, but it is just from sun exposure. Which I hear Aussies get a fair bit of, yeah?
Y’all it’s sun exposure from driving. You’re just old enough to see the damage.
One of my local shops uses a garlic knot instead of these. I don’t know why more places don’t do that. Delicious and functional!
Ew. Pass.
I’ll stick with my local small business retro shop that doesn’t stink of wage slavery, misogyny, and poor corporate decisions, thanks.
That’s fine the Olympics are terrible for people, the economy, and the environment anyway.
I also stan aftershokz. For gym use I use ear plugs to block out machine sounds and I can still hear my book/music/video just fine. The battery life is great - I charge them nightly to be certain they won’t die, but haven’t had any problems running them two days at a time for 8+ hours on the occasion that I forget.
I LOVE my e-bike. I just got a tern NBD and I can finally ride on my own with a bike that fits me even when my disability flares up and I am at my most limited.
Now that my bike time has increased dramatically I have noticed aggression towards me has also increased. I’ve had people yell slurs out of their car windows, people rev threateningly behind me when they couldn’t pass, people speed around me through intersections, etc. Mostly I’ve noticed it from class traitors.
In my area especially people tie cars to freedom. Public transit is practically non-existent so kids and teenagers never ride a bus or a train and assume cars are the only way to get around. This seems to be especially strong among the lower and lower-middle classes, where people struggle to get and keep their cars, and seem to have an unhealthy emotional attachment to them.
If only there were a way to allow bikes on roads without directly impeding car traffic…
Are we seriously back on this again?
