Not that recently, urban dictionary has a post from 2006 that defines goon as a chronic masturbater or as the act of masturbation.

I think this is made from an exceptionally hard wood. It looks a lot like walnut or pecan. I would be concerned about cutting across the grain with a powered saw causing chipping and ruining the piece. I think I would repair the current joint and add a center leg or probably a leg on both sides to support that joint.
NASA is definitely a target. Musk wants to make SpaceX America’s privatized space agency.
Someone who didn’t eat the Mona Lisa.
Townhalls are a type of political event. They are typically small forum events held in places like town halls or school gyms and involve the politician giving a short speech typically limited to a single issue or current event followed by a longer period where the audience asks the politician questions. It’s not limited to campaigning, legislators often hold these events outside of elections. Theoretically they give the politician the opportunity to hear issues and concerns that their constituents most care about but mostly they are used to drum up support for legislation that the politician already supports.
It’s much less than 50%. 2020 had the highest percentage of eligible voters actually vote in US history, it was about 67%. About 70% of Americans are eligible to vote and of that 70% about a third voted for Biden, about a third for Trump, and about a third didn’t vote. So a little over 20% of Americans chose to vote for Trump last time. That number is still too damn high but it’s not as bad as half.
Is it bad that I get most of my non-local news from foreign sources? I do look at the AP and NPR but I usually go to the BBC or Reuters first and I almost always check the CSM for international stories I want more information on.
Plague Inc - control a plague and try to kill all humans on earth (tactical simulation)
Interstellar Pilot and Interstellar Pilot 2 - human explorers jumped through a wormhole to distant space and lost contact with earth. Factions control different sectors, some are friendly some are warring. You start with a single ship and try to do anything between simple survival and building a new faction to conquer all of this new space. (Open world rpg with tactical simulation elements)
Battlecruisers - The machines won, humanity is no more. You are not the smartest robot and somehow you managed to accidentally hijack a military battlecruiser. You are pursued across the world’s oceans by several navies while you try to figure out how to get out of the mess you created. (shipbuilder)
Sorority House Massacre 2 is one of my absolute favorite films. The final line in the film is my favorite in all of cinema.
After that I’m a big fan of Pam Grier and enjoy most of her movies but I think Coffy is my favorite.
Every Troma movie is worth watching. Toxie is a great superhero and we really need a crossover. Toxie should be in the Justice League, he’s already an Avenger! The Class of Nukem High movies are standouts but I think Surf Nazis Must Die is probably my favorite Troma movie.
Edit to add: Death Proof was good but I preferred Planet Terror. To be fair though I’ve never seen a movie by either Tarentio or Rodriguez that I didn’t enjoy.
Not to be that guy but I’m still complaining about the silent space scene. The Last Jedi was the 10th movie in the franchise (12th if you count the animated movies and 13th if you count the made for tv Ewok movie) and it was the first time there was no roar of engines, no sounds of weapons fire, the sound effect of jumping to hyperspace didn’t even play. Star Wars isn’t 2001. It’s not set in our universe. In the Star Wars universe sound waves travel through space.

Got any interest in spoliation films?
Scream Blacula Scream Some regard this as the worst blaxploitation movie. Considering the genre consist primarily of low budget movies with very short filming schedules that’s a fairly damning indictment but I think it can be enjoyed for what it is if you have an interest in this type of cinema.
The A-10 is vulnerable to AA and to fighters, that’s why establishing F-16 patrols first is important. I’d also prefer that the A-10s either be escorted by or fly in mixed formations with Ukraine’s Soviet era fighters.
Once they use those F-16s to establish air dominance someone needs to give them a few A-10s to help them speed up retaking their territory.
The request would be made to the court during discovery and, if it was granted, the test would be done by an independent lab. The department could lose/destroy the evidence before it could be tested but that would likely prevent the evidence from being used at trail and it’s hard to prosecute someone for a drug offence if you can’t tell the jury that you found drugs. Ultimately it’s not a great plan anyway. If they didn’t find any finger prints then the prosecutor will find some “expert” to testify that drug dealers always wipe down their baggies and wear gloves, if they only find the officer’s finger prints then he’ll testify that he accidentally handled it without gloves while logging it into evidence.
If you’re interested in the worst of it you should look up firebombing and why it was so effective against Japan.
The Fat Electrician’s video was great but he I feel left out a couple of things that I think are important to add. First is that he used his influence in the Russian court to advocate for the end of the surf system. Slavery was his primary focus but he actively opposed all forms of indentured servitude and was involved in the freeing of more forced laborers than any other single individual in history. Also he negotiated the purchase of Alaska.
Second is Clay’s Battalion. When the Civil War began Washington DC was undefended and there was an order to evacuate because of fears that Virginia would get soldiers there before the Federal Army. Clay was in Washington to be appointed as the ambassador to Russia and, during the evacuation, he started grabbing men off the street to defend the capital. He organized about 300 defenders and occupied the White House and the Navy Yard until federal troops arrived to take over.
If it’s like the theater near me the space is for the entrance and stairs. You would come in at the level with the handicapped seating and go down stairs to the rows in front of that and up stairs for the rows behind.
With the first sentence I thought you were going to talk about the very real abundance of bias and unreliability in arson investigation and other forms of forensic science.

This is a big part of the Democrats problem, it feels like their stance on every topic is “Trump is worse”. Harris supports genocide in Gaza, yeah but Trump is worse. Harris embraces fracking, yeah but Trump is worse. Harris embraces the criminal migrate narrative, yeah but Trump is worse. Running to the right and yelling but that guy’s worse has always been a losing strategy for Democrats but they just keep doing it. Why did Bill Clinton and Obama win? They embraced progressive policies and offered a vision of hope. Why did Biden win? He tried to go right but between some early issues like “working with segregationists” and the crime bill along with Bernie’s success in the primaries he was dragged back left and there was meaningful policy separation. Why did Hillary Clinton and Harris lose? They ran right and yelled “but the other guy is worse.”
