73·9 days agoThe release is WAY past the legally mandated deadline; it’s not even HALF of what’s there, it’s improperly redacted- exposing victims and CSAM
The DOJ CANNOT be trusted
The full files UNREDACTED is the only way forward

You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK that every single thing Donald Trump is doing was predicted in this article published right before the election
291·9 days agoThe biggest lie of them all is the “Liberal” in liberal media
All American media is essentially fascist, they’ve proven this beyond a doubt
If there were even a HINT of an ALLEGATION that Biden or Obama were party to INFANTICIDE they would have burned DC to the ground. Now all the US media outlets are just participating in the damage control operation

Today I Learned@lemmy.world•TIL about the battle of Blair MountainEnglish
19·12 days agoIn addition to the coal wars in the east, there was the Colorado coal war and the ludlow massacre Also some really nasty stuff at the Carnegie steel works in Pittsburgh perpetrated by HC Frick while Carnegie himself turned a blind eye.
The labor movement is specifically and deliberately ignored by ALL public schools in the US
Labor laws, like no child labor, the weekend, 8 hour day- they are written in the blood of fallen workers, the blood of their children and wives.
Anyone remember dogfort?

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are your cheap, but not miserable, recipes?
25·16 days agoBeans and rice takes many forms, and is generally cheap, and fairly nutritious
I’m a fan of pork butt (or shoulder) in a slow cooker all day (or oven on low) it manages to be pretty cheap per serving, and you can spice it to match any cuisine
Beef is just for special occasions unfortunately
Some fish, like tilapia, can be cheap proteins… I cook mine with lemon and dill
Canned proteins should not be overlooked
Bread is one of those things that is cheaper to buy than make IMO
If only cheese wasn’t so fucking expensive lol
The noble potato, savior of many a meal
That’s a pretty advanced fetish, to be sure

Boycott US@lemmy.ca•A real reason why Nazi-ICE is in MinnesotaEnglish
41·17 days agoNo way this administration will EVER withdraw ICE from an area of active occupation. Nat’l guard is literally the last resort here before the cartridge box; and the dem governors won’t actually pull the ‘trigger’ on it because they’re not ACTUALLY opposed to fascism, just paid to pretend they are
(My admittedly very cynical take)
Daily reminder that all major American media companies are fully complicit with this fascist takeover. And at least one group I can think of is enthusiastically supporting it (skydance)

If these files could be leaked they would have been already. I don’t even fully trust the DOJ is releasing actual files at this point
