Yeah yeah, I blame autocorrect.

If your machine has a TPM chip, you can bypass the other requirements to upgrade to 11 with a simple registry edit. Not sure if that’s an option for you, but it saved parents’ older Surface device from the landfill.
If Bethesda handles SkyWind the same as SkyBlivion I am actually quite stoked to play a UE5 version of Morrowind…
Actual Microsoft rollout practices 🤣
…and nothing will change, because the administration holds itself above and beyond the reach of the law and the judiciary.
With the way Ubisoft is going, that one’s the least likely to see the light of day. Sadly :-(
With names like these, that meme of the guy smashing his head into the keyboard to come up with a new monitor name, starts to sound grounded in reality.
Yeah, that one really makes fuck all sense.
There’s a great video on YT that goes into all the terrible edits in this movie, and they cover literally almost the entire runtime of the film.
I can only assume the academy was either bribed or blackmailed to come to this decision.
It should’ve buried the genre entirely imho. So many inaccurate biopics got released since, with that Queen one being one of the worst offenders (breaks the real world timeline of events for dramatic story telling reasons, clearly biased from one member’s perspective, and with piss poor editing throughout).
Same should be said for DBZ Abridged. I seriously do a double take every time I see an original episode now, as the voice actors and characterizations from Abridged have replaced the canon ones in my head.
While you may be right, I still want to make sure the Finns get credit for naming these home made petrol bombs since the origin of the name is just so badass.
I’ve often wondered what sent J.K. down the path she’s on. I get that it becomes a self-reinforcing cycle at dinner point, but something must’ve happened.
Basically I’m looking for her “Pedo guy mini sub” moment if it exists.
I refuse to believe that tweet is real on principal, but it’s just tone deaf enough to have me question whether this might have actually been shat out by a corporate marketing team as part of some greenwashing effort.
If this is someone memeing however: Kudos, this one is very convincing despite being wildly ridiculous.
“Would you like your evil done in the traditional overt bombs-dropped-on-children fashion, or the new we’ll-sell-your-entire-life-to-the-highest-bidder-while-feeding-you-non-stop-lies-to-establish-a-fascist-regime style, sir?”
This guy: Bomb some kids, at least it’s a spectacle.
(Edit for clarification: I think both are bad, and one has a strong causal relationship with the other but I am not sure I would pick Raytheon personally. It’s a bit too overtly evil for my tastes)
Found the Canadian. “It’s never a war crime the first time”.
They also laid off folks with H1Bs. No, I suspect the real story here is that someone somewhere got convinced these jobs could be done even cheaper by AI, so they’re cutting folks to fund the datacenters basically.
Yeah, everyone always brings up the Wii U but the whole “New” 3DS situation was even less clear if you ask me
It’s not impossible to understand Danish as a Swede but it’s different enough in terms of sounds, grammar, maths, etc. that it’s indeed like an uncanny valley. It’s close enough at first glance, but then gets really alien when you start to pay attention to it. It’s like catching snippets of a conversation in otherwise white noise.
I have worked in Denmark too, and share your friend’s experience - both sides default to English.
Accurate though. Danish sounds legit like super drunk Swedish at a distance, and uncanny valley up close to anyone speaking Swedish or Norwegian or German.
While I agree with your main point (which to me sounds like “don’t let your cats outside as they’re an invasive species and will do serious damage to the local ecosystem”), suggesting to kill them on sight is a bit harsh and won’t make you many allies.
We have much more humane options to capture, return, and if needed rehouse cats. Remember that these objectively invasive animals are also people’s companions, and that some folks simply don’t know better than the old belief that “cats should roam”.
