Sure, if English was consistent. But that’s not how people actually speak. And people do use singular ‘they’, that’s not a command or a suggestion, just an observation. It’s only when people think too hard about it that they say things like ‘he or she’, and even after, they often slip back into ‘they’ despite themself.

I know !womensstuff@piefed.blahaj.zone is a women only community, I don’t know if there are more specific communities to your situation - you should search Lemmy by community.

It’s also important to clarify that this is just, in the end, a (potentially) anonymous forum for internet users to communicate - it is not a good replacement for actual real life/professional support, if that’s what you’re looking for.
