🔞 Hi, I’m Leah. I’m a Scottish, finsexual, transfem demigirl femboy. I’m an IT geek, gamer, Happy Hardcore DJ/producer, and adult content creator. https://leah96xxx.love
I know, but if I had a nickel for every time I’d seen a Zeus and Hera reference in the past day, I’d have 2 nickels
Either OP is an Octavius viewer, or just coincidence that I’m seeing a Zeus/Hera meme the day after they posted a video featuring that story…
Love the touch that it was bottled in Aberdeen too. That’s a sign of true North Sea oil.
Enshittification is more than just scummy vendor lock-in tactics. There are multiple things that count towards enshittification. Using “bot detection” as an excuse to block users with ad blockers and privacy tools is just as scummy
Getting flashbacks of that one sketch in the TV show Burnistoun…

Nice to see a fellow Caddicarus viewer here

(That’s technically 2 words, with one said 4 times. There’s 2 different meanings of it though)
Here in the UK, you can make silent phone calls to 999, but you still need to respond to the operator in dome way. If you can’t speak to the operator, they’ll ask you to cough or to press certain keys so they can verify that it’s a real call. Just dialling 999 without interacting with the operator won’t guarantee a police response.

Same, only I use AdGuard Home instead of PiHole
I can just hear the eggs all shouting “goo!” as they get crushed
I remember in primary school, an actual police officer told us pretty much the same thing during one of those road safety classes. Road traffic collisions are almost never accidents, always incidents.
As a former Hyundai tech, I’m not surprised…
Just block or defederate from threads
Inaccurate. They’re actually spending their time complaining to IT about how their totally non-critical work is business critical and they can’t do it, while IT are trying to restore actually critical services first
I had this yesterday while connected to AdGuard’s London server, but somehow it worked fine on their Manchester server.
I’ve seen at least 1 website that actually had critical components like parts of the navigation classed as ads, so they had to almost force you to disable it to just use their site.
Imo, if you design your website in such a way where critical basic functionality is classed as ads, then you’ve built your website wrong. Basic functionality should not be capable of being classed as an ad.
