If don’t trust the airline, don’t put something in your luggage you can’t afford to loose. Take responsibility for the things you have, and if you need it, get an insurance for your luggage.

You know… I know how to take care of my stuff, without making Apple or anyone else rich. ;-)

Open Source@lemmy.ml•Reminder/invitation to contribute to OpenStreetMap
2·5 days agoI love using OsmAnd~ It’s better than google and comaps…
I know… but they do know how to copy and paste, and that’s what they need to be able to… Those I have told about it, in this way, are relieved and not afraid of it…
I don’t know why you would want to use linux without the terminal? I mean, you can… but you’ll be limited if you want to do something special or fix a problem. It’s not like you have to know how to code or anything. Often you can copy the commands right into it… It’s really no problem.
Not just… K-9 and Thunderbird worked together, so that K-9 godt features from Thunderbird and the other way round. True cooperation there.
Thunderbird… no real competition there. For both desktop and mobile.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Best way to run Adobe products on Linux? Specifically lightroom.
36·18 days agoDon’t use linux then. You don’t want alternatives, that’s fair, but when there are good, even better alternatives like Darkroom, and you don’t want to focus on doing the work that the app does, but rather on what the name of the app is, then stay with windows.
So, you are caught by MS… Either accept it, or do what is right.
Some years I donate nothing. Other years it’s about 50 euro… Depend on a lot of things. I believe in giving to the free software, because that makes it better, and since I’m a user, that’s great - and I like to keep it running.

It does, and it works quite fine. :-)

World News@lemmy.ml•Trump says US has "captured" Venezuelan President Maduro and his wife in "large scale strike" - latest
6·26 days agoTrump is the worlds largest and worst criminal. And people still follow him. This is insane… People of the USA has a collective insanity…
Well, this is my first post here, so please elaborate - which other posts?
I’m not looking for exact models or specs. Just something like R5-xxxx or R7-xxxx or R9-XXXX with 780m and 16 or 24 GB of RAM is enough to run it fluently… Or whatever people have experienced…
Thank you for your opinion. It wasn’t really an answer to my question, but as an opinion, it was a good read. :-)
They should be… Which is why I am looking for AMD specs here.
But as I wrote in the title, I’m going to run Win11… :-) I was thinking about Oracle VirtualBox…

Well, don’t put anything in your luggage that you can’t afford to loose. People strangely enough still traveled before any kind of tags (besides those in paper and plastic, put on the luggage). :-)
