Like how I do .
More often than not I’m the same way!

I mean, mistakes are a part of life, sure, but I would hate it if they defined my life! I’ve managed to make some pretty good choices along the way, too.

Yeah often happiness is just contentment. It’s easy to get bored with that and “want more” from life. Bad choices can often follow these instincts!

I will happily down a Moosehead whilst watching curling on one channel and hockey on another.
I won’t root for Aston Martin in F1, though.

Was thinking the same thing.

I think anyone who knows anything about Jesus would know exactly what a country named “Jesusland” would be like!

Oh I know. That and the next speech when he said the first one “got great reviews.” I genuinely hate this timeline.

All I could think about while watching Carney’s speech, aside from how much I’d forgotten what a real leader sounded like, was what kind of bullshit word salad the orange asshole would belch out of his McDonalds hole.

It’s interesting how this has blown up to basically “because the government could if it wanted to get to your personal information, fuck it, just tell everyone!

Bullies will get their way until someone stands up to them. It’s always been this way. All these politicians thinking there’s nuance to these situations forget that they’re dealing with a guy who doesn’t understand, or see any need for, nuance. He’s a bully doing whatever fancies himself. He’ll keep doing it until leaders start standing up to him. You can’t negotiate with bullies. Everything is a zero-sum-game to them. The only way you can “be clever” is to fool him into thinking he’s “won” something.

While I hate the automatic inclusion of betting into most sports reporting today, it doesn’t trouble me anywhere near as much as the political scenarios the article lays out. Some pretty scary stuff in there!
I’ve been telling people “the first 5-years of Trump’s second term have taken forever!”
I don’t think they like the joke. But I think they feel the same way.

Fair. Admittedly, I haven’t read it in a long time.

Agreed. Not a fan of what he became, but Dilbert was great.

Note that I said “enough” voters. Of course it’s not the only reason, but considering an incredibly boring and too-old candidate in Joe Biden beat him while two qualified women lost to him (especially the second time where we knew what we were signing up for), I think it has to be taken into account.

This is how much enough Americans don’t trust women in leadership roles. They’ll make all sorts of excuses to explain it away, but at the heart, they just don’t like women.
Release the Epstein files, and I’ll go see it for free.
