Yep, I was leaning into the Steam Deck this morning when some folks said I could do it without a dock, and having it in my hands for gaming would be nice, but I’m now going to the Beelink camp simply because I don’t want hassle when I use it as a regular PC. and for the same price I get more capabilities with the Beelink.

Thanks. I will look into the Deck’s default OS more closely to see its advantages and disadvantages. I don’t want to spend too much time fiddling around with stuff so if I can keep that that’d be great. The handheld aspect would not be its primary use but it definitely is a big plus. To top it off, it seems that using a stacked dongle like these for HDMI/USB ports/charging would do the job of the dock, that would seal the deal, I think. The only time I tried ChatGPT for something that required a little bit of processing it failed miserably. I had a shower thought, “what is the most used noun on lyrics of this band I like?” I asked it and it gave me random words. I decided to investigate and ask it what are specific lyrics of some of the most popular songs and it kept telling me made up lyrics, when I could actually find them immediately on Google.

My oldest account was 11.5 years old. Together the 3 of them had half a million karma. Used Relay for most of that time. Haven’t used any of my accounts since the API shutdown. This made me not want even visit the site anymore.

Seriously… my oldest account on Reddit was 12 years old. I’ve been through so many changes that turned me off, but the API stuff was the last blow, and the CEO’s love for Elon Musk just sealed the deal.

I won’t lie that it’s been an adjustment. Old habits die hard. Reddit is the one that I am more certainly done with. No one is on Mastodon yet so I do browse Twitter a little bit to get updates on the stuff I like, but don’t interact there anymore.
