I can play a janky barely passable tech demo. No one can do even 1/12th the things they advertise regularly with their fake BS videos and advertisement though. They are a scam company.
Everything they show is fake. And destiny and even WoW did server transfers. It’s not new. Nothing they do is innovative except for their false advertising, they do innovate in the bait and switch fake it till you make it space.
A loading screen. Amazing. Maybe some day they can accomplish what other games have done ten to twenty years ago.
What crowd funding? It’s been a released game for years backed by macro transactions from the store
Not really sure what’s so controversial about this. CIG argued in court the game is released and it hasn’t been crowd funded since they left Kickstarter. People just pay to get ships to fly or for outfits and weapons or in some cases, pre-order ships.

I don’t see how this is any more believable than the previous videos. Especially for a studio known for false advertising.
It’s there as part of a UN mission enforcing sanctions against North Korea.
Yeah that was a scam too. Similar to fart citizen they misled people.
But unlike hello games, clown imperium games are also incompetent and unable to make a real game.
So no man’s sky went from a bait and switch to a real and well made game. Star citizen is still and always was designed to be a grift.

I think it’s both. Or rather, their only competence is scamming people with false advertising.
It wasn’t a pot of boiling water, it was a cup of coffee. Which is expected to be at a temperature that is drinkable when you get it and if spilling it on yourself is dangerous then that’s a problem.
