The dog of a friend of mine had a medical emergency this weekend and I ended up staying in the city with my friend for a little longer than planned to help comfort her and take care of things around her place until she was able to pick her dog up from the vet.

So much happened but it was so nice to see so many people come through to support her and her dog as quickly as it all happened. Fortunately everything turned out okay and the little guy is fine now except he’s a little more naked now with a few shaved patches on his sides and leg.

I was so distracted trying to be there for my friend that I didn’t really have time to process anything until it started to hit me on my train ride home. Feel a bit exhausted today, hopefully I can catch up on sleep after another night’s rest. My brain still feels all mushy and disorganized.

Mother’s cat has come and gone. She was polite and hungry. Which is good. She doesn’t eat a lot anymore at her home because the two stinky boy cats steal her food. But she knows she’s completely safe here so eats quite a bit more. A whole bowl of food, half a plate of chicken, and all snackies from her medication times. For 2 ish days. (Friday night, Saturday, Sunday morning).

I don’t feel well. The teeth holes hurt. I have an appointment but not soon. Tired. It’s also chore day and ugghh. But I need to. Mothers cat is lovely but messy. Need the new sheets.
