PC makers have something new to sell you. With hardware becoming more standardized, laptops are now differentiating themselves with their materials.

    My 2007 Lenovo was magnesium

    Its been used in a lot of stuff that needed light weight and durability.

    My 1998 mp3 player was magnesium.

    I’m pretty sure my “next laptop” will not have been manufactured in 2026. I’m currently on a 2013 MacBook Air, so maybe around 2038 I’ll start looking at these new fangled ceraluminum laptops.
