Perfect, thank you!
I currently use a plain old brown bound journal for occasional reflective writing and there’s something about the physical act of pen to paper that helps me calm down so this may be the way. I’ll check out the book.

Do you have any readings/resources you’d recommend on this?
Right now I’m using TickTick but I loaded it up with so many things, most of which will be abandoned and never cleaned up. Eventually my lists will get too messy and I’ll abandon the software. And the cycle continues lol

I will never understand how people could be this rich and do stupid shit like this.
With all that money, you could go find the love of your life, travel the world with them, pay for all the mental and healthcare you need, be fit and live the rest of your life happily with your soulmate AND still even have the capacity to help others if you so desire.
But instead they do this shit. I hate reality.

Ironically, my manager was someone who did very little “managing” and mostly did hands on work (I work IT), and he just got laid off.
Meanwhile all the leeches that spout BS metrics that are faulty are all still here. Idiots all around.

Based on what they showed in the demo, that’s not the PR. gpt made more changes than what’s in that PR and also modified a different transform function. My guess is they never actually pushed the actual commit from the demo or made a PR.

Fuck that school, their behavior is what allows this kind of thing to continue and turns these asshole kids into asshole adults… and then we end up with modern day US.
Damn it now I want to see this too lol

Dude LSD in the water supply would be better than whatever the fuck is going on in this world right now

I doubt it, because he can just get his goons in the Supreme Court to change the ruling. It feels like these “judge blocks X” events are nearly meaningless. I mean they still do something but in a sane world… we wouldn’t be at this point.

Honestly I used to get this, now I just focus on what tangible deliverables I have and if I’m getting them done in a timely manner. If I am, I take whatever time I need away from work.
I also like working flexible hours. Sometimes meetings bog me down and I have trouble constantly context switching (there’s something called a context switching cognitive penalty). So on those days I’ll relax in between meetings (other than some minor maintenance and meeting prep work), and then I’ll get some work done after hours when I’m feeling more focused and won’t be interrupted. Though this may not be possible for everyone with family obligations.
Finally, find some fun projects to do at work in between other obligations. Doesn’t have to be some major thing, but sometimes I’ll find an opportunity to develop minor tooling to help myself or my team. I try to find things that will also develop my own skillset.
Bonus is that a lot of my side projects get brought up during my performance review.
The above makes it sound like I work way more than 40 hours a week, I definitely do not lol. But doing things at my own pace lets me get all my work done and then some, and I have a work life balance.

“He thought it was funny,” Ms. Pirro said of the defendant in a video posted online. “Well, he doesn’t think it’s funny today, because we charged with him with a felony.”
Does this mean he has a shot at the presidency now?

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if this was the start of him stationing goons all over the country to stage a coup at the end of his term

Sounds like it lol.
Based on the article, the deputy prime minister added that he’s grateful for the reduced tariff in the same statement in which he said they’d nominate the orange buffoon.
They could not be more transparent.

So turns out this is the real reason they’re against abortions. I always thought it was the labor they could exploit. I guess it’s both

He said it was a fragment of a fossil cuttlefish so I was assuming there was more to this that was um… being used

It’s insane to me that anyone would think these things are reliable for something as important as your own psychology/health.
Even using them for coding which is the one thing they’re halfway decent at will lead to disastrous code if you don’t already know what you’re doing.

My previous manager (same company, different team) was an idiot who somehow failed his way up and he gave way too much credit to courses and certificates. He would end up hiring the worst people (both from a team fit and a skills fit). The one candidate I pushed for that didn’t have any of that BS ended up being awesome.
Luckily enough people complained and a few people quit that he got banished to the shadow realm (he’s good at a completely different skillset which requires you to be stupidly annoying like he is, so they moved him to a team of…just himself).

Alright that is great to hear, it makes me a little more hopeful.

My concern is that Cuomo is planning to run as an independent and my pessimism is telling me that somehow he might win. I mean no one thought Trump would win in 2016 or again in 2024, but here we are.
But the part of me that wants something to hold on to is desperately optimistic that this might be the start of the change.
I love the idea of dumping stuff into Monday and then dealing with it when you get there.
I overscheduled myself out too much in advance and I never stick to that schedule, which adds to the feeling of failure/defeat. Especially for both my work and work style, I think dumping it somewhere (like the coming Monday) and then sorting it out when I get there may work better.
Appreciate your post!
