With starfield coming out, they don’t want people to get the trial to essentially play it for free and then stop using the service.
1 month is just about enough time to beat a large game for someone who has a few hours a day to play. 14 days won’t be enough for most people.
It’s how I played the last Gears of War when I had an XBox, and then how I played the last Halo on my PC.
And so begins the enshittification of a once great service.
How is changing the trial time the start of enshitification? It doesn’t affect the actual service at all.
It’s already a popular enough opinion that gamepass is too good a deal for the price they’re charging yet some of the loudest people on public forums will warn, and I bet act, like the world is coming to an end cause they’re pulling out of the “try to get as many users as possible to try and get comfortable on the service” phase. If it becomes too expensive for your tastes, just cancel. Otherwise it’s just a good deal you can enjoy until it happens.
It’s not even enshittification. It’s not like the service got “worse.”I’m surprised they still have free games on it at all. They’re basically doing movie pass for games. But making it work.
