25 y/o programmer from Germany
Is immigrating harder nowadays? My parents moved from Russia to Germany in 2004, and it sounds like it wasn’t really that hard. My dad just had to find a job first to prove secure income and then we could move 🤷 My husband’s parents came over around the same time on a jewish reparation program, because some of their ancestors used to live in Germany. They always said it was pretty easy as well.
He seemed like the kind of guy who’d be into thighs tbh
Advocating for basic empathy is really not a thing that has to be gatekept to one gender 🤷
I think being intelligent gets you better jobs and more money sooo 🤷
I use a radiant heat panel in my snakes Terrarium, the human-sized versions of them look pretty promising imo. You could install one on the ceiling right above your work desk so that it radiates the warmth down. They might be a bit on the pricey side though.
They’re turning the friggin snakes gay!! ::: spoiler spoiler (i approve) :::
I have to admit that I won’t be on good terms again with my sibling for a long while. They did some very distressing things this year that were a large contributor to my burnout. Never apologized for it, never tried to fix anything. I’m done with that tbh
Also a good option: !switchpirates@lemmy.dbzer0.com
Cracking your Switch is extremely easy if you have one from 2017/18 that is in the right serial number range ^^
Love that site, especially for just browsing categories!
Pygmy Hippos aren’t as murderous as their larger cousins!
It was kind of the opposite for my partner and I. Apparently we first met when we randomly sat across each other in the University cafeteria. Apparently we even talked, but neither of us remembers it. We were in exactly the same courses too, just never noticed or remembered each other.
We officially met on Tinder like a month after that. Only our buddies who were sitting next to us in the cafeteria remembered that they (and by extension us) had met before.
We are inherently forgetful and unromantic though, this year we forgot our 6th anniversary and only noticed like 4 days later
That would make sense! With how debilitating it would be to struggle with both hands, I guess it would make a lot of sense to classify it as a disorder
Awesome, that’s exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!!
I’d say try out Super Auto Pets! It has a bit of a learning curve, but once you grasp the system it’s very fun to come in 1-2x a week and do the weekly pack. They’re also one of the most ethical mobile games I’ve ever seen when it comes to payments. Most of them are one-time only and actually get you a good amount of extra content. There is a monthly subscription thing, but last I checked it’s basically just for cosmetics.
I’d want to say Gay Creepypasta fanfiction, but that one was surprisingly chill in hindsight. So I’ll go with my current problematic fave, dunking on Amberlynn Reid Fandom. It’s… not much better than the Chris Chan Fandom, but it’s very entertaining.
You joke, but that kind of prejudice is pretty hurtful in day to day life
Was he actually Italian though? As in, speaking Italian, having an Italian passport etc.? Y’all Americans have weird definitions of nationality, just having a foreign sounding last name isn’t really enough…
Hi! Randomly came across this in New, very cool guide! Hope you don’t mind if I chime in as an AFAB, if you do I’ll delete the comment, no worries ^^
There is a guide for gender-affirming weightlifting on hexbear that I really like - Link. I based my training mostly on that back when I lifted for like 6 months and the butt gains were really decent! I even slightly over-developed my Gluteus Medius because I like the Hip Abductor machine too much u_u
I found the Upper/Lower split made a lot of sense in general, as I could skip Upper whenever I needed to skip a session due to time constraints.
In terms of clothing, there’s nothing I can praise more than a specific brand of Aliexpress butt-leggings called “NVGTN”. For some reason, they’re just really really good at pushing everything where it belongs lol. I usually wear them under jeans in winter or by themselves in summer
Quickly try to guess whether alcohol is okay in this person’s culture and whether they would have reasonably gotten drunk.
Pretend to be hung over for as long as possible to stall for time.
???
Find out their banking details (or call in their banker) and transfer all their money to a good cause.
Totally valid, I have the same thing but with Russian! There’s also an aspect of just being not very good at the language, so when speaking it at home I basically never had a chance to sufficiently vocalize my thoughts or defend myself in arguments - just because I was never taught enough words for that.
I basically refuse to speak it unless directly talking to my own or my partners parents. Though the hope is to break contact with my parents soon 🤞
