You have to vote with your feet and use the solutions that satisfy your demands. Complaining is not going to change anything. Boycotting bad stuff is the way.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•Under British and UK Legislation anyone using or developing end-to-end encryption is now a “hostile actor”
2·22 天前Yeah it’s confusing. The implicit assumption in E2EE is that it is taking place on the application layer, while transport encryption happens on the, well, transport layer, or somewhere in between. I think the authors in the linked document mentioned chat communications between users which is definitely application layer.
Just saying, they are not produced in Europe which is what this post is about. 99% of laptops are trash nowadays.
Put it in flight mode. If it’s not communicating then it’s not leaking information.

I mean technically you can make JUST the age verification without identification, using a cryptographic protocol. But I doubt they would build it that way.

1·22 天前Does it also cover the relationship with scheme? I am mainly interested in the “foundations of computation” aspect of building an executable from minimal well-defined building blocks, so Scheme has been my main interest.
Doesn’t it seem so selfish? If OTHERS want to celebrate MY birthday that’s nice and up to them, but I’ve always felt weird inviting my friends to MY OWN BIRTHDAY party jfc. XD

Ties to Israel are never a good thing.
I think we’re on the same page but you might be exaggerating a bit here. Everything is connected in this world.
Find something you genuinely enjoy doing.
Also, having moneyz is nice.
The question is, what else would you be doing with your time?
Well dont use the app then. You can access all services on the web. Stay with the open standards that are offered.
