Safari on iOS supports extensions out of the box. You can just install adguard or something else and won‘t have any ads.
There are also third party browsers, which yes, use WebKit, but also can block ads.

21·2 years agoYeah, but honestly I don‘t think it ruins the game. Sure, it’s not the best idea, but I don‘t care too much. I actually care more about the fact that the gameplay currently sucks and is completely different to Overwatch 1. 5v5 and the overall balancing sucks.

7·2 years agoThat‘s not „anti-free market“ at all. People can buy from whoever they want and if they think that this is bad, they can freely choose to not buy anything from Blizzard.

He probably means the people who riot, destroy cars, homes and businesses of average people.
Shooting them is wrong and this guy probably is a dickhead, yes, but a lot of normal, average citizens will agree to this.
Edit: To clarify, I mean that‘s how the right get‘s people on their side. Rioting will just result in more people agreeing with people like this guy, even if the message is absurd.

Technology@lemmy.world•A teachers union says it’s fed up with social media’s impact on studentsEnglish
101·2 years agoBanning smartphones in schools is stupid, unless you have other alternatives like laptops (where you can block social media). The thing is, the internet is basically a huge library and kids learn how to solve problems on their own. I sometimes see 20-30 year olds who literally don‘t know how to use google and if they don’t know something, they don‘t know how to research it.

World News@lemmy.ml•The Pentagon unveils $1.3 billion for Ukraine, bringing total new U.S. aid this week to $2.3 billion.
0·2 years agoIdk where you got this from, but Ukraine won in Kyiv, Kherson and Kharkiv. Currently the front moves very slowly towards Russia. No, the offensive isn‘t a huge success and I would even consider it a failure, but the fact that Ukraine can even start an offensive is proving that the weapon deliveries are working.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•How many Lemmy users are non-technical background?
2·2 years agoThat‘s probably because HTML doesn‘t actually has any logic. You basically just need to remember things and what to put where. You should try a programming language, which actually has logic and is therefore easier to understand (imo). The easiest language you can start with is probably python.
