Do you use a separate icon pack or is the one in the screenshot part of your Android skin ?

Open Source@lemmy.ml•Opensource android alternative for spotify/youtube music
14·4 天前Scroll all the way down. If the developer has published/released apk, you’ll see a Releases secrion at the bottom.
Click on Releases to view all versions that have been released. The highlighted green one is the latest official apk.
If you have Obtainium, just add the URL into it, and it’ll auto find releases and updates.

Open Source@lemmy.ml•Typst: "as powerful as LaTeX while being much easier to learn and use"
2·13 天前Thanks for explaining. It seems like I had a completely different understanding/exoectation of what typst is.

Open Source@lemmy.ml•Typst: "as powerful as LaTeX while being much easier to learn and use"
1·14 天前I meant a normal note taking application, not text editors or IDEs. I use markor on my Android phone, it has support for Markdown and Asciidoc. Markdown is fine until you need tables.
I’ve heard from a lot of people how typst is amazing, but found no apps with support for it. Is it because it’s still in development ?

1·14 天前How does Typst compare to something like Asciidoc ? I haven’t found many editors with typst support unfortunately

Open Source@lemmy.ml•HelixNotes now on Android, same Rust + Tauri codebase
1·29 天前Tried to download vua obtaini and it showed the apk is hosted on helixnotes .com instead of codeberg. Any plans to provide it on F-droid/Izzy or on Codeberg releases ?
Thanks for being open about it. I’ve been looking for syncthing alternatives, this seems closest to it. Will there be a an android version ?
I don’t mean to be disrespectful, but is this being developed with majority of input from LLMs ?
Thank you so much!

Open Source@lemmy.ml•Switzerland government release full FOSS LLM under Apache 2.0, argue for AI as Public Utility
3·4 个月前Other than Apertus, are there any truly open source models - mainly what I want to know is models that list their training data publicly to ensure no theft of art and stuff. (i replied to your comment as you seem to know about these models, I have no clue abou this stuff)
Nice to know that the app has a database feature. Most open source note taking apps ignore this feature. I have 2 requests -
- Please don’t add AI. There are plenty of alternatives like Affine, Appflowy, Lokus, Knowledge Canvas - that all do the same thing.
- Will a binary release be possible for users to install the app easily ?
The URL in the repo ends with ‘com’ and is shown as available for sale
They also have LGPL mentioned in their readme. I’m so confused what happened. I was thinking of switching to this app, but after reading more about the app, feel like staying with Monekin
Thanks! I was thinking of contacting them, but after reading more about it, I’m not going to. I was thinking of switching to this app completely, but now feel conflicted
Thanks for the added context. I didn’t even notice that LGPL was mentioned in the readme. I was thinking of switching to this app, now idk, might as well stay with my current one.

F-Droid@lemmy.ml•Why do some apps just have a Share button instead of the Install button (These apps are from IzzyOnDroid's repo) ?
1·9 个月前Droidify. It’s otherwise a really good client. I’ll make an issue on their github page

F-Droid@lemmy.ml•Why do some apps just have a Share button instead of the Install button (These apps are from IzzyOnDroid's repo) ?
6·9 个月前Thanks, you’re right! I enabled Izzy’s repo through the official F-droid client and it’s showing ‘No versions compatible with this device’. Finally found the cause, thank you

Free and Open Source Software@beehaw.org•FOSS Self-hostable or desktop app wiki (great for worldbuilding)?
4·9 个月前Seconding Fantasia Archive. It is probably the most feature rich FOSS Worldbuilding tool.
There’s also Hammer which is underrated imo.
WorldLoom is another one but currently undergoing a rewrite.
Although not specifically for worldbuilding, Manuskript is another option.
Wavemaker is another option but has optional AI.
Unless there’s readily available templates, you’d have to rework logseq a lot for this simple task imo. Take a look at mdSilo which is similar to Obsidian and with graph views. If you want something like Notion take a look at Appflowy or Affine but both are super into AI. If you’re fine with self hosting, there’s Colanode which is similar to Notion and into AI.
