This is true, but most things digital do the same thing if I remember correctly. I think rocket league with free loot boxes does that.

Did end up watching it (I’ve always enjoyed PMG vids and Quinns). In a way I see it, I just don’t quite fully understand why the onus is on Valve. If valve was directly running the gambling sites, that would be one thing. I would give them flack for accepting sponsorships for dota with some of them. Though it’s a similar vein to sport kings advertisements on shows and such.

I don’t get why these target valve and how they are a scourge if it’s purely cosmetic. Only complaint I could see is possibly for tf2, though that never seemed pay to win like.

I work remote 100%. All the replies cover a lot of things that I love about it already. One important thing that I think helps to WFH is to make the spot you work, devoted only to work. I have a small desk set up that I use for work. When I’m done I’m never at the desk again until I’m working again. I think there’s a negative effect if you make your workspace also your play space.
I’ve always hated programming exercises live during an interview. Way I dealt with it typically was taking notes about it after (so that if you see something similar in a different interview later, you can be better prepared for it). Doing various interviews coding exercises helps a little too.

Proper procedure would have been the dev updating the uts so that they pass. If all they updated was adding ignore or commenting out code in the ut, even better!
Can’t say I have recommendations but would love to hear some as well. Especially an adblocker.

I’ll throw my hat in the ring. Thanks for this!

2012 was what felt like a more normal election where the candidates respected each other and it played out a lot more typically. (Same for 2008). Trump changed that up and it’ll possibly stay that way going forward.

Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan
His latest series starting with San Francisco Streets is fantastic. It’s filled with great interviews, stories, and information. Andrew does an excellent job of storytelling while being humane I thought.

To follow-up I found this post and feel like this is more the way to attack it possibly.
