+1 for Joplin. Sync via webdav-server (nginx, nextcloud) or their sync server. Works like a charm.

3·2 months agoNot sure if https://www.inwx.de/en ticks all your boxes but it handles .at (Renewal: €15.47 / 1 Year) is located in the EU (Germany) and maybe worth a look. I have all my domains there, works flawlessly.

Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•I was recently gifted a Steam Deck for Christmas! If you only had a budget of, let's say 50 bucks, what would you get?
8·3 months agoDoes somebody already mentioned Grim Dawn? Diablo II like ARPG. From what I’ve heard well playable on the deck. Check out the mentioned 3rd party sites first a good deal, the all in one (two expansions) set should be around 30ish bucks.

homeassistant@lemmy.world•Looking for a good rain gauge (NOT rain sensor)English
3·5 months agoI have the weatherman 2 at my house. It is (unfortunately closed source) a more or less complete weather station, rain sensor (a very good one!), rain gauge, temp, humidity, light sensor, optional wind and wind direction. It involves easy soldering, a little tinkering but its works flawlessly since two or three years in my garden. It is a german project ( http://stall.biz/) no clue if he delivers somewhere else or if the instructions are available in germany. 🤔

41·6 months agoWould love to test it on my little home server - is there a way of installing it without docker? Like bare metal install? (Server is running FreeBSD, no docker though)

3·8 months agoI‘m an old fart using FreeBSD and jails, in the jails mostly bare metal install. Home assistant runs in bhyve, one docker app (audiobookshelf) runs in bhyve as well (alpine linux and docker)
Writefreely can be selfhosted. simple config, no themes (or limited if i remember correctly). But it just works.

Would have said baikal if you haven’t alteady mentioned it. Can’t confirm that it’s a bitch to maintain, runs in my webjail for more than a year now. (Before I used nextcloud which IS a bitch in all matters…) The only hiccup was self induced, forgot to install it after php upgrade (FreeBSD, pkg is named php83-baikal for example).
Specifically for webdav (Joplin sync) I use dave, though unmaintained no issues so far (internal network only, not web facing).
