A single downvote was the tipping point?
How are you handling the 15 you’ve had in your first 4 hours here?
One downvote and you left? That’s weak.
As I always said when I was on it, don’t sweat the downvotes. Reddit has an algorithm that games the voting system, in both directions. I would post something that would be immediately downvoted, and five minutes later it had ten upvotes. I would post an article that would have a thousand upvotes, and my karma breakdown would show…ten. (I would post something and be downvoted to hell; someone else would post the exact same thing and get 500 upvotes.) Don’t worry about the karma.
Anyone can downvote.
Reddit’s problem is harvesting human input for bots to consume, then getting rid of said humans who provide inputs to the bots they don’t like.
I get downvoted constantly. A day without downvotes is a lost day.
