I’ve been wearing cuffs for a while, but I finally got around to piercings this afternoon. Got both lobes and the conch on one side done so far. Have to wait for the conch to heal before getting the other side done, so I don’t sleep on it and mess up the angle before it heals. The pain was minimal, even less than I expected, since it was a pro that did it, and the soreness so far is much less than the soreness after wearing cuffs for a few hours, so I’m super excited for it all to heal so I can wear more interesting earnings.

Congrats! I am happy for you, I could never because I am squeamish ^^ I already shiver when I think about poking the earlobe…

Very slightly more pain when piercing the conch than the lobes. But, it was less painful than most vaccine shots I’ve gotten at the pharmacy, honestly. I did pay a little more for a pro with a good reputation, though. Soreness probably will last a lot longer, but otherwise it’s way less painful than I was expecting.

Only issue is I didn’t think about my headset for work meetings. Probably will have to annoy people using my laptop speakers and mic for a while. Lol.

Congrats! I got both my conches done a couple months ago. I tried sleeping on my back for a while but I’m a side sleeper so it kinda sucked. I got an ear pillow recently and it’s great. Highly recommend.

Yeah, I had originally intended to get both at once, but my piercer was pretty adamant about only doing one side at a time for the conch. Too much risk of messing up the angle of the hole in the cartilage or other issues. They have a lot of experience and were in healthcare before, so I trusted their judgment. My hair is at a length where they’re covered most of the time, and I won’t be able to use rings and more noticeable stuff for a while, anyway. And yeah I’m mostly a side sleeper, so that is probably better anyway. Might check out the pillow though. I do like being able to switch sides at night so that’s going to be a challenge, lol.
