Unfortunately it does violate the DMCA and so Mozilla must enforce takedown requests or they’ll be liable for damages.

They have instructions for installation on their GitHub repo:

That link shows their Chrome version. When I click the Firefox repo link on that page it asks me to log in. Is that normal for GitHub? I don’t think I’ve had to log in to view other software.

That’s GitLab, not GitHub. Sounds like they took the repo private.

Developer moved from gitlab to gitflic: https://gitflic.ru/project/magnolia1234/bpc_uploads

Good catch, I missed that it was GitLab.

What’s the story there? Anyone know why or is it just speculation?

I’m not sure but this point might be the crucial one:

      • Add-ons and their content must conform to the laws of the United States. (Add-ons that violate or have content that violates the law in other jurisdictions may also be removed or have access limited.)

    How to install for Firefox?

The gitlab page seems to require login?

theyay choose to enable it at their own risk

    Aaaaaand fuck you, Mozilla

If you auto disable a plugin because it’s detrimental to me, that’s awesome

If you auto disable a plugin because it made a billionaire slightly less antisocial rich, then fuuuuuck you.

This is MY computer and unless you are for me, you are against me.

Edit: will leave original message up. Okay, so Mozilla likely did this because of legal reasons. Still though, then change the wording.yhst it’s not you and that your arm is forced.

Paywalls are the death of the internet
