Jesus … the amount of sugar and sodium in that one biscuit for that little guy would be enough to give it instant diabetes just before giving it a heart attack

Even the human ones are not great for humans … I used to love them as a kid and I cringe when I think about gobbling them up knowing now how loaded they were with sugar and salt. I still love them and would eat ten pounds of them if I chose to … but they’re terribly unhealthy.

Yeah I just made a tube of cinnamon rolls guess I have to eat them all now

    • This is why you should get to know your neighbors.

      Not for disaster resiliency.

Not to ward off the hyperalienation of late neoliberal capitalism.

Not to stand stronger against repression.

To pawn off extra snacks you made too many of and avoid overeating.

On the other hand it’s just a good way to get to know your neighbours. I baked too many sweets a while back and shared them around and now they know me better and, I believe, are generally more fond of me. So win win, I get better relations with them and they get sweets :3

i have brute forced this by not buying any kinds of snacks or sweets from the grocery store. so if i want to eat something i have to either go hungry or make a real food. (usually i end up doing both)

I did the same, lost 30 pounds since. I just don’t have the mental strength to avoid snacks when I’m anxious, stressed or depressed. It’s the only thing that worked for me.

didn’t work for me, I’ll just drive to the grocery store and buy candy. and then i buy a lot of it because it would be silly to drive there just for the candy.

i’m the same way, and after a while i’ve come to appreciate feeling like i don’t need the strength: if i set up my environment properly then eating healthy is one less thing i have to worry about, and i can use the leftover mental strength for other things.

One alternative I’ve suggested is that you can have cookies and snacks, but you have to bake them yourself. Puts some effort and friction on the task.

  • The two extremes here seem to be ‘eat binge trash’ and ‘starve’ with nothong in between.

Am i the only one who binges on spinach and fruit and nuts?

This is also me but then I go for the chocolate…

Less real food more junk food. Snacks for dinner. Ive had water and candy today (I don’t buy soda or it would be that). Last “meal” was a sandwich like 18 hours ago.

I ate an extra large pizza to myself yesterday…

I’m still normal weight it was just a night, however stress eating is no joke…

I should probably remove the bag of Lemonade Rings (gummys) from my desk, eh.

I’ve found a simple fix to this is, when I want to stress eat, just eat more protein. It tends to be delicious and to scratch the “eat lots of food” itch, but is also satiating and not processed junk.

No? I do eat a lot of beans, but also eat fresh meat that I cook in advance. I’m not chowing down on hot dogs and slim jims

Ah, hadn’t really considered someone having cooked meats laying around as a snack…

And I know it’s pedantic, and calling it ‘junk’ would be too much certainly, but if you salt that meat and cook it in oil it’s not truly unprocessed.

Find something that reduces your stress without increasing weight. There’s tons of options ranging from healthy to ridiculously dangerous.
