The democrats have always had primaries

    2 minutes later…

Harris was voted in by the delegates

Well that was a fucking lie.

You might as well just kick yourself in the nuts instead of arguing with a partisan ideologue.

      It’ll hurt less.

I’m just a guy who saw the two choices in 2024 and knew Harris was by far the better choice so now I’m reminding non-voters that they caused this mess.

As opposed to the party that did it’s best to alienate the voters it claimed to represent? The same party that openly lied to and gaslit it’s voter-base?

      They had a 2024 primary.

2020’s proper primary took from February 3 to August 11, 2020 or 190 days.

Biden dropped out on July 21 2024 and 190 days after that would have been January 27, 2025.

You could at least cite your source of a 2024 primary happening. I’ve voted every chance I get for everything big and small since 2016 and I don’t remember getting to vote for Biden or any other option in a Democratic primary in 2024.

do you live in new hampshire? the DNC decided they werent going to honor any primary votes in new hampshire because the new hampshire democratic party wouldnt move their voting date to what the dnc demanded-- which was to run South Carolina first, since Biden did well there.

          https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2024-election/new-hampshire-attorney-general-accuses-dnc-voter-suppression-rcna132945

It worked out in the end, under threat of lawsuit for illegal interference with the voting process by the DNC.

Ah I see. The lack of any form of election was cause everyone basically dropped out before my state got a say. So the only options were Biden or Uncommitted (which did get a significant amount of votes).

What? No I read the Wikipedia page you linked which states when each state had their primary and also states when everyone dropped out of the race. I saw in the article that my state, Missouri, had the primary after every other choice had left which lead me to realize why it felt like there was no primary. There basically wasn’t one by the time I could have had a say in anything.

My brother in Christ leftists weren’t even in this primary. Ffs one of the options was a damn antivaxer. Are you really gonna say the DNC would be accepting of actual leftists when they seem more fine having an antivaxer represent them? Actual leftists were running third party like the PSL party with Claudia de la Cruz or getting thrown out of every public Dem appearance for demanding them to speak against Israel and stand up for Palestinians. At the very least allow for someone from Palestine to speak on stage at a conference in front of the public, but that was asking too much.

So your point is that Biden should have stayed? Things would have been better is Republicans had 10% more votes, surely!
