By clinging to American primacy through force and intimidation, Donald Trump is, ironically, undermining US global power. A saboteur trying to subvert US interests from the inside could hardly do better than what he’s accomplished through sheer incompetence.
The U.S. Civil War #1 never really ended (confederate flags all over the South, institutionalized racism, legal slavery in for-profit prisons, etc.), it just went into a “cold” phase. It is certainly heating up again.
I agree with this as someone who grew up an hour away from Harrison Arkansas, but I say #1 just because historically the hot war does have defined dates.
