“Everything here is just better,” the former talk show host said of her new life in England's bucolic Cotswolds region.

Honestly, this is one of the least objectionable things Ellen has done. If I had the means, I’d probably be exploring my options to leave this place too.

Probably not to Britain though. They’re on the same track we are.

Same with Canada. So where to?

The whole Anglosphere is pretty fucked thanks to Rupert Murdoch and easy cultural exchange. I’m not super up-to-date on European politics but I haven’t heard anything bad about Finland lately.

Finland seems like a great country. But it’s right next to Russia, and things aren’t looking too good there.

They’ve basically closed the border, and they’re in NATO, so I wouldn’t be too worried.

Good to know that. If we move countries, we’re thinking of moving a bit permanently, so it needs to be stable for at least a few decades. It’s hard to predict things in this current climate. And every time you move you lose a lot of your assets and your social circle is reset, so it’s stressful.

Finland is great… but they had lots of crazy Nazis in parliament and the highest unemployment rate in the EU (around 10%), on par with Spain and Sweden

        Spain?

I hear the rain falls mainly on the plain there.

My wife is from S. Africa, if we had the ability to pick and move to S. Africa and settle our family we’d have been gone yesterday.

Why would want to move a country that’s worse in every capacity?
