I won’t defend George w. But there was a whole chain of people that fucked up. Kathleen Blanco was governor at the time, idk who the mayor was, who was in charge of the national guard, who was point man for FEMA at the time. A whole chain of people doing fucking nothing.
It’s easy to blame the president in such situations, and he certainly deserves his share of it. But the entire affair was mediocre at best. I don’t think it was malicious, just fucking embarrassing…
